In maths in Malmesbury class this week, some pupils have been investigating weight and judging which objects are lighter and which are heavier.
We tested objects by weighing them in our hands to judge which was heavier, then used scales to see if our predictions were correct. We also ordered objects from heaviest to lightest.
Malmesbury class have enjoyed studying volcanoes. This week, we looked at the pros and cons of living near a volcano, for example, volcanic areas can be very fertile for farming but earthquakes can damage property. In teams, we sorted pictures into 'for' and 'against' living near a volcano.
