In science last week, Malmsbury's class made simple ovens using cereal boxes with a cellophane front.
We placed chocolate inside each 'oven' with a thermometer to measure the temperature inside and placed the 'ovens' on a windowsill in the sun. We measured the temperature inside the oven every five minutes. The temperature of the ovens increased by between 4 and 5 degrees Celsius over a period of 15 mins. Some of the chocolates began to melt.
